Shortly after Glen passed away, we found out that he had donated money to help victims of September 11th. He donated the money without hesitation, on the very same day of the horrible tragedy. Because of this, several family friends from Music Night, New Jersey Opera, and Masterwork Chorus have gone beyond expressing their condolences to the family and made contributions in Glen Caglarcan's name to Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Centers of New York (SVCMC) for a program designated for the firefighters's 9/11 grief and trauma counseling project - a five-year program.
The New York Fire Department Counseling Services has selected SVCMC's Behavioral Health Services to work with their firehouses in lower Manhattan, where there was the greatest loss of life. SVCMC will be providing regular group sessions as well as individual counseling. Families of surviving firefighters as well as those who died will also receive services.
As they grieve with our family for Glen, these friends have made generous contributions to this worthy program in order to help other people who are also grieving from their untimely losses.
