Scholarship Donors

The Preparatory Center for the Arts Glen Caglarcan Scholarship. This award would provide an ensemble class, a theory class, and a 45 minute lesson for one semester to a gifted student, total value being $750 per semester. Criteria for selection: 1) Violin student aged 5-17, who has minimum study of one year on instrument, and shows great potential. 2) Audition for three members of scholarship committee (or submission of tape for student coming to camp and not close by): Scholarship Awards Committee would become comprised of one member of violin faculty, the Prep Director (Dr. Ruth Rendleman) or the Associate Director (Dr. Marla Meissner) and the Director of Orchestras (currently Matthew Pierce). 3) Two letters of recommendation from music teachers. 4) This scholarship would be posted on The Preparatory Center for the Arts web site and also be announced in our brochure every year.
